Cabins at Mt Rainier
The Christain Family years at Copper Creek Lodge, 1966 to 1975
Pearl and Roy sold Copper Creek Lodge and in 1966 to Buck and Freida Christain.

The Christain family, Freida, Buck and their children Ken, Brook and John, operated the Copper Creek Lodge until 1975. John the oldest of the three boys lived in cabin #4 as a teen. The rest of the family lived in the small cabin behind the lodge. John remembers changing beds and mowing the multi acre lawn with a push mower.

Frieda was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 1975. She was advised to get her affairs in order and spend some time with her children. They sold the property that year.

Freida Christain Blomberg still lives in Eatonville, Washington. In August of 2005, Frieda celebrated her 75th birthday at Copper Creek Lodge with her family and friends.
